What exactly is an Eco-Lighthouse?

Eco-Lighthouse, as the first national certification scheme in Europe, was recognized by the EU in 2017.

The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the world’s common work plan for sustainable social development. The SDGs apply to all countries in the world and consist of 17 overarching main goals and 169 more specific targets. These are the guidelines for achieving certification.

Becoming certified means committing to continuous improvement, and this is just the start of Centrums’ long-term work within sustainability, external environment and working environment.

There are many ways to achieve this, and you need to consider everything from how you handle waste, to energy use in your office space, which procurement partners you choose and what kind of transportation you use. It’s something we do every single day, while constantly looking at how we can improve so that together we can create a greener future.
